The European Federation for UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations was deeply touched with the news of passing of Mr. Masatake Matsuda. 

Mr. Matsuda was one of the builders of the UNESCO Clubs, as a student organizing the creation of the first UNESCO Clubs in Japan. During 10 years of presidency of the Japanese Federation for UNESCO he pomoted in permanence the humanist ideas of our organization. 

He activated as a president also in the Asian Federation where he tried every time to bring a valuable help in the organization of important international events. 

He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man driven by the outmost noble ideals during his life.
