Events of National Federations

The European Federation for UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations was invited to participate at the 3rd Forum of Intercultural Dialogue from Baku, Azerbaijan from 18-19 May 2015, along with the governments of the UNESCO member states and other important organisms. The Global event is organized by the Government of Azerbaijan in partnership with UNESCO, UN, Alliance of Civilizations, UN World Tourism Organization, Council of Europe and ISESCO.
The First and Second editions were organized in Baku in 2011 and 2013 and achieved remarkable success, supporting the inscription of intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity at the forefront of the international agenda. Bringing together head of governments, ministers, heads of various international organizations, senior policy makers, prominent intellectuals, experts and cultural professionals, goodwill ambassadors, media professionals, reprezentatives of the civil society organizations, youth associations and activists, the Forum reaffirms the imperative need to consolidate and intensify dialogue amond people from different cultures, religions and beliefs in order to create, at the national, regional and global levels, an environment conductive to respect for cultural diversity, human rights and mutual understanding.
To maintain such momentum the 3rd Forum on Intercultural Dialogue will focuss on the theme: "Cultural and Sustainable Development in the post-2015 agenda" with a view to mark the celebration of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on 21th May.
