Presentation
The European and North American Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations is an international network of organisations representing, at the national level, a worldwide system of private citizens and local organisations daily committed to the UN ideals on peace and equality.
At the present, 22 countries participate as members in our network.
The Federation has, as its own members, National Federations, Centers and Clubs whose source of legitimisation derives from the “UNESCO system” as interpreted and applied by each National Commission for UNESCO.
The European and North American Federation is one of the different Regional Bodies composing WFUCA: the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations.
In so being, the Federation ensures the diffusion and sensitisation of national and local populations about the contents of UNESCO working units and documentation.
Through the activism of the volunteers composing thousands of Clubs all around the globe, EFUCA ensures a truly global network, able to create a bond between individual citizens all around Europe and the experts chairing the working bodies both within UNESCO and within the national branches of such a system.
At the present, not all national federations have been able, while constantly being devoted to enlarging publics of cultural customers, to acquire their own domain.
For this reason, this website will provide the user with information on the National Federations, as well as about the Federation itself.
We encourage those who may be interested, as single individual as well as associations or institutions representing local civil societies to get in contact with our network, finding the closet Club or Centre where to receive more direct information and answers about the “UNESCO civil society” system.
